Tasks
The IT section fulfills the most important functions of a computer centre:
- Conception, implementation and further development of IT procedures, infrastructure and IT-standards
- Operating of networks and server (including e.g. software acquisition and updating)
- Data securing and storage
- Data safety and data protection
- Administration and looking after workplace computers
- Development of applications (e.g. databases)
- Administration of software licensing
- Counselling, support and help with the acquisition of IT technology (e.g. software and hardware acquisition, further training needs)
- Cooperation in the field of information technology
Upon demand, the following software can be provided for university lecturers:

- Adobe Acrobat 11 Professional
- Mindmanager 2016
