Mission statement
Together with the Corporate Communication Institute of the University of Applied Sciences Münster we elaborated the university's mission statement. The mission statement was continued with the profile of the university, a university development plan is soon to follow.
Mission statement of the German Police University
- We are the university for senior police officers and the most important forum between science and practice for the discussion of police matters in Germany.
- We play a decisive role in the systematic development of police science in research, teaching and studies and we thus give impetus to further improve police work.
- The close interlocking of theory and practice guarantees a comprehensive qualification and competence of the executives.
- We stand for an open-minded, value-bound police that is aware of its responsibility in a democratic constitutional state, for freedom, security and inner peace.
- We cooperate as partners with regional, national and international educational and research institutions and actively encourage a common European police philosophy.
- We see ourselves as a team; we live in a quality culture and continuously develop the university with the goal to reach a top level in research, teaching, studies and services.
